Stranded on a Deserted Island? Get Stuck With One of These 40 Classic Rock Albums Mainers Chose

Let's face it, being stranded on a deserted island would be miserable. Days would be full of little fanfare and epic loneliness. The true excitement would be catching dinner or quite possibly starting a fire.

While there isn't much to fix the unbearable living situation of stranded island living, I can at least try and lift some spirits with this post.

I decided to add a wrinkle to being stuck on a deserted island. Because you know what just washed ashore? A turntable, and amazingly, it's in perfect condition. Clearly it must have fallen off a cargo ship. And, wouldn't you know it, the package is waterproof.

Oh, and a second package just washed ashore. This package just happens to be in the shape of a vinyl record. What are the chances?

Now to make this situation work, we need to turn on the imagination machine, because this package is not universal. This package contains one very specific classic rock album. It's the album you could be stuck on an island with for the rest of your life.

Is it an easy choice? Maybe for some. However, this could be quite the conflict. Imagine having to basically "Sophie's Choice" your entire music collection. What would you pick? Would you go groovy to fit the island lifestyle? Would you go upbeat to dance the day away? Would you go hard to let out some steam? It's a very difficult decision, and one I am still debating in my head.

Fortunately, I had a few friends that gave me some ideas.

Thanks to WBLM's social media nation, I was able to put together a list of 40 different classic rock albums that listeners chose to be stuck on an island with.

Some of these albums are absolute number one draft picks, while others are a bit off the beaten path. One thing I do know is having some good old rock and roll on a deserted island would be quite the oasis.
