SummerFest ME Brings the PSO Back To The Eastern Prom For The 4th of July

Get ready for one of the best 4th of July celebrations in the USA! Huge news from Shamrock Sports and Marketing, The Portland Symphony Orchestra and the City of Portland today:

A new festival entitled SummerFest ME comprised of two inaugural events in 2019 celebrating Portland’s arts, cultural and entertainment community, will launch in late June and culminate with an enhanced July 4^th celebration. 

SummerFest ME is the vision of Shamrock Sports & Entertainment in collaboration with the City of Portland and the Portland Symphony Orchestra.  The partners held a press conference at Portland’s Ocean Gateway today to unveil a long term commitment to providing Mainers and visitors alike with a memorable tribute to the group’s love for summer, country, and its growing community.

“We are optimistic that we can make Maine a preferred destination for world-class sports, entertainment, arts, and cultural events.  Working with some of the largest events in the country since 2010, we launched Shamrock Signature earlier this year to develop and deliver epic experiences in our hometown market.  SummerFest ME will be the first (of a few) new Shamrock Signature events rolled out where we collaborate with great partners such as City of Portland & PSO,” said Shamrock CEO & Founder Brian Corcoran.

On June 28^th a Pops with Purpose Gala will take place at Portland’s Ocean Gateway from 5-8 pm.  This purpose-based affair will serve as a kick-off event for SummerFest ME with 100% of proceeds benefiting the PSO performance on July 4th.  The Gala will be limited to 300 x $100 tickets on a first come first serve basis.  All attendees will be encouraged to sport their stylish and dapper red, white & blue attire and will enjoy curated pairings of Bon Appetit award-worthy culinary, craft brews and cocktails. 

On July 4^th, a new Portland Pops celebration featuring the PSO conducted by the PSO’s new Music Director, Eckart Preu, special guest performers and expanded fireworks display will premiere on Portland’s Eastern Prom. This event is free and open to the public. Additionally, 500 VIP tickets will be sold @ $50 per ticket that includes premium seating, parking, catered cuisine, and a beverage voucher. A limited number of reserved tickets will be sold @ $25 per ticket that provides preferred seating and a beverage voucher.
