These annual competitions in Maine are quirky, out of the ordinary, and can even be downright dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

Less than a month before Pumpkinfest makes an epic return after 2020, organizers announced plans to scale it back to the minimum.

This is a can't miss event. And yes, they do drop giant pumpkins from a crane.

The event will not be going on this year due to COVID-19 concerns.

With the 2017 Pumpkinfest in Damariscotta over the weekend, Halloween season in Maine has officially begun.

There's a new giant pumpkin record for the State of Maine and it belongs to Elroy Morgan of Charleston. Elroy gourd weighed in at 1,756 pounds at the 11th annual Damariscotta PumpkinFest Weigh-Off.
