Take Part In The American Lung Association’s Virtual “Cycle the Seacoast”
Like so many fundraisers this spring, The American Lung Association has had to adjust because of COVID-19 and has made Cycle the Seacoast a virtual event.
Never before has the American Lung Association been so important. COVID-19 is a lung infection and it's affects can be devastating to those with chronic and lung-related illnesses. Supporting the American Lung Association through the Cycle the Seacoast fundraiser will ensure that research, education and resources continue.
Here is some important information about the virtual event:
- Participants can choose to cycle 25, 50 or 100 miles at their own pace.
- Participants can get their miles in outdoors or indoors and they can track them and post screenshots if they like from apps like Strava, Zwift and Rouvy, (formerly CyleOps).
- The event ends on June 30th. Sign up today at BikeTrekNewEngland, org and start your fundraising.
- Participants raising at least $200 for the American Lung Association will get a Cycle the Seacoast event t-shirt, a medal and a commemorative bib. Raise $400 or more and also receive an official Cycle the Seacoast cycling jersey and a $50 gift card to Eastern Mountain Sports.
Because of COVID -19, fundraising is far behind where it normally would be. How unfair is it that a lung-related illness is putting a wrench in such an important fundraising event for a non-profit committed to advocacy, education and research of lung-related illnesses? They save lives every day with their work, and they've never been needed more. Please participate and support the American Lung Association.
Please visit Lung.org/covid19 for accurate, science-based information that is updated daily about COVID-19. Battling misinformation and providing answers to frequently asked questions about this Coronavirus will help keep Americans healthy.
