With the first official day of spring less than a week away, we are all really itching to spend more outdoors. We can't wait to get out in the fresh air and warmer temps. And even though it's going to rain tomorrow, the good news is it'll be close to 50 and lots of Mainers are starting to think about gettin' the grill goin'.

Of course, we probably know someone who'll brave the cold all winter and keep on grillin'. But for the rest of us,  it's almost time for a cookout!

With that in mind, we thought you would dig this beautifully square video of a "proper" chicken barbecue of "broilers" by the lake from 64 years ago. It was produced by the Maine Department of Agriculture in 1955 and unearthed and restored by YouTube user, Jeff Quitney . This is a wicked hoot, bub.
