For almost the entirety of November, all of New England has been living in a deep freeze. Temperatures have been far lower than average, and multiple storm systems have threatened to drop snow and freezing rain long before the calendar officially flips to winter. But if you're one of those people who misses the warmth, the Thanksgiving holiday could deliver a lot more than just a hearty meal.

Shared on Twitter by Robert LaRoche, some long range forecast models are calling from our below-average temperatures to spike and spike quickly. Rather than some of the 20 and 30 degree days we've been dealing with, the long range forecast calls for Thanksgiving Eve as well as Thanksgiving day to be in the mid-to-upper 50's. That would feel downright balmy at this point.

If this all pans out, the most satisfying part for those that miss summer will be that the air will be coming from the south and have that truly warm feel. Canada can have that arctic air back for a couple days, we won't miss it. Cross your fingers on this, we need it.
