Things are heating up in Maine this summer. Can you feel it out there?

There's gonna be some hot days, so definitely try and stay cool. Maybe a trip to the beach?

But did you know that even with these temperatures rising and the weather feeling warm, there's an even higher temperature that's taken the record for hottest temperature ever recorded?

According to the State Climate Extremes Committee of NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information, Maine hit a record 105 degrees on July 4 and 10, 1911.

The SEC states that that record hit twice in the same location: North Bridgton.

Funny enough, New Hampshire beat that record by a degree, but it also happened to be on July 4, 1911. Nashua hit 106 degrees.

Now that's a hot Fourth of July!

Let's just hope it doesn't get that hot anytime soon. Otherwise, we'll be asking for a snowfall.
