The Ice Jam Is Back in Augusta [VIDEO]
I grew up in Augusta. During freshman and sophomore year, I remember walking to Cony High every school day from Green St. on the west side across the Memorial Bridge to Cony St. on the east side. The bridge stretches across the mighty Kennebec. It was always a pretty cool view of the river from up there, but never as rad as this time of year.
Giant floating ice chunks are once again getting all jammed up in downtown Augusta. Of course the local authorities would prefer we stay away from all this action on the river in our Capitol City, so luckily we can watch it here.
Watch this Blimpster shot video of these mini icebergs rolling by! Thanks to my fellow Cony alumnus, Roger Badershall (pronounced Roh-jer Bah-dur-shaw!) for the great photos and youtube-age! Now you kids stay the hell away from theah!
