The Most Maine Spill Ever: 7,000 Pounds of Lobster on Route 1
According to WCSH, the most Maine thing ever happened in Brunswick when a truck carrying 7,000 pounds of LIVE lobster crashed, scattering them all over Rt. 1.
Crews packed up much of the lobster, but according to the locals a lot of the bugs were still roaming around. The lobsters will not be sold.
How does something like this happen? Well, a Cozy Harbor Seafood Inc. truck carrying about 70 crates of lobster probably hydroplaned, causing it to roll down an embankment and ripping the top open. Luckily the truck driver isn't facing any life threatening injuries.
There was some good eatin' in Brunswick Wednesday.
