‘The Tater Report’ is a Portland, Maine, Treasure
The best thing on the internet coming out of Maine right now could very well be "The Tater Report."
This incredible social feed is the genius of the Portland Parks and Recreation Department and a man named Tater. Tater is Keith Forest, a Parks and Rec employee who has worked for the city for 20 years. His Tater Report videos have been viewed by thousands around the world!
Here is the historic episode number 70 that was released this week. Tater is live and local at the new Lyseth School Playground. "Well, here we are..."
A few years ago, Tater started making fun little videos about life working for Parks and Rec. This week, The Tater Report hit its 70th episode! Pretty amazing.
The Tater Report has taken through all the seasons in Maine, from making ice at Deering Oaks Pond, to firing up the sprinkler mats on a hot summer day, to cutting down the Portland Christmas tree. Tater does it all with good humor and a great attitude!
Congrats to The Tater Report on 70 glorious episodes. Could a TV series be far behind? Hey, if Maine Cabin Masters can do it, why not Tater? We're talking Netflix special at the bare minimum! Let's get some Tater merch going at least!
Shoutout to Tater and the whole Parks and Rec crew in Portland. The Tater Report could only be made in Maine, and shows why Portland is such a great city...because it's made up of great people like Tater!
