“The Viking” The Favorite To Repeat As Champ at Damariscotta Pumpkin Regatta

Drivers, start your pumpkins! It's the Maine Super Bowl of Pumpkins.  We are, of course, talking about the 12th annual Damariscotta Pumpkin Regatta. 15,000 people are expected to watch the paddle-boat pumpkin and the motorized pumpkin divisions at Noon on Monday. Many will try...and mosty will tip over as they race down the Damariscotta River. Our bet is on "The Viking", who was last year's champion. The 1200 pound "Plundering Pumpkin" is piloted by Russel Orms of Austin, Texas. Could this be the start of a Pumpkinfest Regatta dynasty?
