The year 2020 will be remembered for many things, and for many of us, it will be remembered for the COVID-19 pandemic and all the effects it has had on life in America.

But for one Vermont man, 2020 will be remembered for his moment of shining glory: raising the world’s largest zucchini.

Ron Scholtz of Williamstown, Vermont, has grown the largest zucchini in the world, according to mynbc5.com, and the whopper zucchini weighs in at 115 pounds! That’s a lot of zucchini bread!

The trick according to Stolz is having the right seeds, the right weather, good soil, and fertilizer, the news station reported.

I’m sure a lot of loving care goes into raising a zucchini of that size.

In case you are wondering how we know it’s the largest zucchini in the world, records are kept by an organization called the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth, NBC 5 stated.

Scholtz is on top of the world with this recording telling the news station: “This one really sits good because I’ve never been number one in nothing and all of a sudden, we are here where we are in the world and now, we’re number one at the moment.”

He also credits the few days we had that were over 90 degrees and some pretty warm nights, the news station added.
