Before you roll your eyes, hear me out! Despite being half of Rob Gronkowski's size, New England Patriots draft pick Tre Nixon has similarities to the big fella that are downright striking.

Wide Receiver Tre Nixon of the University Of Central Florida also was absent for a great deal of his senior year due to injury, and dropped all the way to the 7th round.

However, the similarities to Gronk do not end there.

The offensive output that both Nixon and the man, now known in Tampa Bay as 'Gronkitis', did create in their limited time on the football field, jumps off the page at you.

Nixon, in 23 games with the UCF Knights had 1,400 reception yards and scored 11 touchdowns. Gronk played 22 games with around 1,200 yards and scored 16 TDs.

Am I saying that Tre Nixon will dominate the league like Gronk? Of course not.

But you can't say that their college careers are frighteningly similar. It's almost like looking in a mirror.
