Sunflower Farm Creamery

Nestled in on Harmon Way in Cumberland, Maine lives a farm that makes you feel as if you've been transported into a children’s book.

The crackle and pop of the sand and rocks under your tires as you drive up the dirt road, the landscape of sunflowers, rogue animals, and a brown barn surrounded by the Maine woods, and the sounds and smells of the farm as you step out of the car are all part of the experience.

Sunflower Farm Creamery is a farm in Cumberland run by the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They’re the type of family that gives you hope knowing there are genuinely good people in this world. Their self-serve farm shop boasts local cheese made daily, the freshest you can get. So fresh, you can meet the goats responsible for the delicacy.

The animals on the farm are members of the family and are treated with so much love and care you can taste it in the cheese. This very farm sparked my love for goat cheese years ago back in high school.

Baby Goats!

The start of spring welcomes sounds of birds, blooming flowers, and baby goats. We can all agree that baby versions of anything are adorable but there is just something so precious about a little baby goat hopping around.

Sunflower Farm welcomed the first babies of the season on April 9 and out popped one right after the other. The farm posted on Facebook yesterday this adorable video of the newborns “finding their hops”.

I don’t know what’s cuter, their little sideways hops or the precious little noises. I love how they stick together, tumble around, and hop their little hops. It melts my heart!! And to make it even better, the video ends with them all snuggled up together.

Check out the farm’s Facebook page to stay up to date and find out when you can go meet these little guys yourself!
