Today’s Blimp Time-Hop

29 years ago this weekend, WBLM welcomed back Ozzy Osbourne to the Civic Center!  This was Ozzy’s 5TH trip to Portland in support of his album No Rest for the Wicked, featuring Crazy Babies and Miracle Man. It was the recording and tour debut of new lead guitarist, 21 year old Zakk Wylde (no beard yet). And oh yeah, Ozzy turns 69 this Sunday!

Here's what they played. I know it says the show was 12/6/88. That's incorrect. According to our official book of concerts from our friends at the Civic Center box office, it was indeed on 12/2/88.

With the Black Sabbath farewell tour behind him, Ozzy recently announced his final world tour that will begin next Spring and go until 2020.
