1/10/1946 - Drummer Anysley Dunbar is 74 years old today. Why should you care? Here's who he's played with: David Bowie, Jeff Beck, Frank Zappa, Lou Reed, Eric Burdon, Jefferson Starship, John Mayall, Sammy Hagar, Whitesnake, Ian Hunter, Nils Lofgren, U.F.O., Flo & Eddie and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey. Interesting factoid: Anysley auditioned for The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Jimi had difficulty deciding between Dunbar and Mitch Mitchell -- the latter won Hendrix's coin flip!
