7/18/1973 (45 years ago today) - Bruce Springsteen kicks off a four-night run at the legendary Max's Kansas City venue in New York City; opening act for each evening, on their very first North American tour, is none other than Bob Marley & The Wailers!!! One can only try to begin to imagine...

7/18/1978 (40 years ago today) - Take a good, long look in the mirror 'cuz it indeed has been 40 years...: A grand total of 150 students make up the audience when Def Leppard play their first-ever live gig -- It takes place on this date at the Westfield School in their hometown of Sheffield, England, which (according to the U.K./Metro news in 2013) is supposedly the happiest place to live in Merry Olde England! Really!

7/18/2001 (17 years ago today) - There's nuthin' they won't do, absolutely nuthin'...: Kiss add another product to their ever-expanding merchandise line -- How about "The Kiss Kasket"? Yes, it's a coffin, decorated with the faces of the four founding members of the band, along with the Kiss logo and the phrase "Kiss Forever" -- If they're in stock, you can have yours for roughly $5,297.95, delivery charge not included. Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell was buried in one after he was shot and killed onstage in December, 2004...
