3/28/1976 (43 years ago today) - It's also the fact that a lil' over forty years have passed, that's what gets to ya: In Buffalo, New York (with Peter Gabriel no longer fronting the band), Genesis begin their first North American tour with Phil Collins taking over as lead vocalist. "Illegal Alien" is now just seven years down the road...

3/28/1981 (38 years ago today) - It may very well be the only time that hip-hop pioneers Fab Five Freddy and Grandmaster Flash are both mentioned in the lyrics to a U.S. Number One pop song: Blondie start two weeks at the top of the singles chart with "Rapture", their fourth(!) No. 1. Never was much of a fan though...

3/28/1992 (27 years ago today) - It wasn't the same thing as bat biting (or urinating around the Alamo), so have a little perspective here: California's legendary Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre is damaged to the tune of over $100,000 when Ozzy Osbourne invites the first two rows of the audience to join him onstage. Shockingly, mayhem ensues...
