It's Day 5 of 20 Albums in 20 Days! Today's featured album is the debut from Boston. It was released on August 25, 1976. Since then BLM has played and still plays every track. Legend has it that after Epic Records heard the demos and  signed the band, they  wanted them to record the album in Los Angeles. Tom Scholz wanted go back in his basement to work on the finished product. Producer John Boylan was hired, fooling the label into thinking the band was making the record in LA while most of the work was being done by Tom back home in Boston. Probably a real good thing that Tom Scholz did it his way. Boston's debut has sold approximately 17 million in the US and 25 million all over the world.

Join us tonight at 5:20 for a WBLM Mini-Concert with Boston!
