Trinity Knocks Bates Out Of NCAA Sweet 16
The Bates College basketball season ended Friday night when Trinity College beat the Bobcats 79-62 in the NCAA round of 16.
The Sweet 16 playoff game was played at Babson College in Massachusets and the Bobcats had one of those miserable nights shooting the ball - just 16-for-55 (29%). Bates was even worse from the three-point line, just 2-for-20 (10%).

The loss means the end of the college career for Bates captain Graham Safford. The former Camden Hills and Hampden Academy standout finished with a team high 20 points.
Jaquann Starks led Trinity with 20 points.
The Bantams(23-6) move into the elite 8 round game on Saturday night.
