Truckers Planning Convoy for Maine Boy Who Was Hit by Tanker Truck
On October 4th, a woman, holding her 2-year-old son, stepped in front of a moving tanker truck on Interstate 95 in what Maine State Police say was an apparent murder-suicide attempt, according to the Associated Press. She was killed but the toddler somehow survived the impact and is still recovering from his injuries.
Truck drivers from across the state have since organized a multi truck, dump truck, motorcycle, bus and other vehicle convoy for the little dude to be held on October 27th, according to an article in the Associated Press.
The organizers are hoping for as many as 500 vehicles and drivers will be able to participate in the convoy to salute the boy and hopefully bring a smile to his face, the AP reported.
