In a shocking video from the dash cam of a Maine State Trooper, an officer is seen reviving a driver who, according to the YouTube video description, overdosed on heroin and passed out during the traffic stop.

According to the Portland Press Herald, Trooper Douglas Cropper pulled over a Volkswagen Jetta last April on the Fore River Bridge on Interstate 295 southbound in Portland. Cropper took the license and registration from the male driver and returned to his cruiser and wrote him a ticket.

When Cropper went back to the car with the ticket, the man’s head was tilted back, his mouth was open and he was unresponsive.

This is yet another example of why Maine law enforcement professionals are some of the most respected in the country.

Thank you, Trooper Cropper.
