I understand, we all have reasons as to why we need to run to the store. Heck, sometimes we don't even have a reason, we just feel like going out and tend to end up shopping somewhere. Nonetheless, shopping is something we do weekly.

Whether you are going food shopping, school shopping, or just need new clothes for the season change, we all head out to a store to get what we need. I mean, there is nothing else that we can do. If we want something, we need to go out and get it.

One store in Maine has it all! Food, clothes, shoes, crafts, furniture... really the list goes on and on. I, of course, am talking about Marden's. Marden's is a bargain surplus store and has 14 locations across Maine.

Of course, just like any big store, it is VERY easy to make some mistakes.

One mistake that you are most likely to make is making a list. Yes, it is that simple. You may make a list all the time or on occasion to prepare you for when you are out shopping. I get it, you want to only get what you need. But, at Marden's, I wish you luck.

Since there are so many different types of items in the store, it will be hard to walk out ONLY with just what is on your shopping list. Trust me, this happened today. I went in just to get a raincoat but before even making it 500 feet into the store, I had 3 other items in my hands.

I remember the first time that I entered a Marden's I did not know what to expect. Of course with that, I made one of the biggest mistakes that you could possibly make at Marden's. You may be wondering, well, what is the biggest mistake that you could make? Well, I'll let you know it is a very easy mistake.

While I was walking into the store, I chose not to grab a shopping cart (an easy mistake right?). I was just ready to explore the store and did not even think about rolling around a cart. Well, I definitely should have. I was walking around the store looking like a crazy person, overfilling my arms.

Trust me, you don't want to enter a Marden's and make these rookie mistakes. Grab a cart and be ready to buy more than what is on your list.
