It feels like it was forty years ago, not four. Here's a look at what was going on back on this date -- Welcome to November 3rd, 2016:

If you wanted to go to the Nickelodeon or Cinemagic on Election Day 2016, your choices included Tom Cruise in "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back", "Ouija: Origin Of Evil" and "Inferno" starring Tom Hanks in the third DaVinci Code flick. The average ticket cost was around $8.

You know who the real winners were on Nov. 3 four years ago? The Chicago Cubs! How about winning their first World Series in 108 years -- After a 17 minute rain delay, Game 7 ended up going to 10 innings with the Cubbiess coming from behind to an 8-7 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

Looking for some CDs to grab at Bull Moose? The Top 5 Albums on the Billboard chart for this week in 2016 were seriously lacking any kind of classic rock cred -- Well, maybe "Revolution Radio" by Green Day was kinda close at the No. 1 spot, but then came Norah Jones' "Day Breaks" (ah, remember Norah Jones?), "Oh My My" by OneRepublic, "Views" by Drake (he's done rather well since) and "Suicide Squad: The Album" Soundtrack (featuring Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son", War's "Slippin' Into Darkness:" and  a cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Panic! At The Disco. You have to wonder why, but if you're curious:

And if you picked up the 11/03/16 copy of the Portland Press Herald you'd see that, polictically, it was more of the same nasty nasty nasty: You had President Obama publicly criticizing FBI Director James Comey for alerting Congress about Hillary Clinton's private e-mails, while a woman who filed a lawsuit accusing Donald Trump of rape 20 years earlier cancelled her news conference because of death threats.
