When You Hear This Maine Cop Start Singing, You Won’t Believe Your Ears
Well here's something you don't see every day. In a video posted to Facebook by photographer Monty Rand, Maine State Trooper Taylor Dube belts out the Whitesnake song "Here I Go Again." He sang the song as part of Glenburn Little League's Opening Day. The rendition of the 80s hair metal classic was in honor of Detective Ben Campbell, who was tragically killed in a highway accident last month while helping a stranded motorist.
To say that "Here I Go Again" is a difficult song to sing is an understatement. You need excellent pitch, and a great command of your high registry. I'd go so far to say that the Trooper's rendition of the song is comparable to Whitesnake singer David Coverdale's recording of the song!
It's great to see him showcasing his talent here. But it adds so much more meaning knowing that he sang it as a tribute to his fallen fellow officer.
