Wicked Cool: A Maine Lobster Sheds Its Shell
My wife can shed a lobster pretty quickly to get to those succulent yummies on the inside. She even loves the green stuff. Something we don’t probably think about is that lobsters bust out of their shells all on their own. After that, the new one underneath is a soft shell that gradually hardens. Male lobsters do this once a year and female lobsters, every other year. You Tube user Captain John’s Bar from up the coast in Steuben posted this wicked cool video of a Maine lobster changing his armor.
