Wiscasset Man Charged With OUI After Forcing Cop Off The Road
According to WGME, a 48 year old man from Wiscasset is in a lot of trouble after forcing a police cruiser off the road.
The incident happened on Bradford Road at around 6:20 on Wednesday evening. Police had been investigating a vehicle driving erratically when they spotted a vehicle allegedly driven by Stuart Wyman.
An officer had to leave the road in order to avoid a head-on collision.
Officers were able to apprehend Wyman. He was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail where police say his blood alcohol content tested at over three times the legal limit. The limit is 0.08. Wyman's BAC was 0.26.
When he was arrested on Wednesday, Wyman had been out on bail from a Monday OUI arrest. During that incident, his BAC was reported at 0.20.
Police then charged Wyman with operating under the influence, driving to endanger, failing to stop for an officer, and violation of condition of release.
Fortunately, no one was injured in either incident.
