The weekend is finally here! We're all overdue for some much needed calm and these classic rock songs are guaranteed to help the chilling-out process. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and let the healing power of music take you somewhere where there are no headlines...

"Open Arms" - Journey. Say what you might about its corny sentimentality, we're fans of Steve Perry's epic, flawless delivery which makes you feel like he's got the warmest hug in the world waiting just for you...

"Dreams" - Fleetwood Mac. The most alluring Stevie Nicks contribution to the Mac catalog has a kind of haunting quality, but in a good way. "Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?" is still one of the most enchanting lines we've ever heard...

"Time In A Bottle" - Jim Croce. When your emotions are close to the surface, it's nice to have a gifted storyteller show us the way. Doesn't matter how many years go by, this one still connects the heart to the soul...

"Wonderful Tonight" - Eric Clapton. Okay, here's a song that's been so overplayed at weddings, etc., you're forgiven for forgetting just how honestly beautiful it really is. Frailty is not always what we think of when it comes to Slowhand, but it's what makes this one a bonafide true classic for the ages...

"Yesterday" - The Beatles. Another example of a song that you might say tried too hard and yes, McCartney has always been 50% Little Richard Rocker and 50% Old School Sentimental Fool. The fact is, though, that we need this one perhaps now more than ever. Put the ear-buds in and pretend you've never heard it before. Have tissues ready.

Also, limiting your daily news intake is highly recommended, too.
