The Michael T. Goulet Foundation reminds all of us to observe Maine bicycle and rollerblade helmet laws and old fashioned common sense to avoid head injuries that can be debilitating or fatal.

The streets are full of bicyclists and rollerbladers during the summer, it's important for everyone taking part in activities that could lead to a head injury to wear a helmet.

Under Maine law kids under the age of 16 must wear a helmet when bicycling as an operator or a passenger, or when using roller blades. Protective riding gear including helmets and eyewear are strongly recommended for motorcyclists.
