Rod Stewart announced his 2020 tour of North America yesterday and there's Maine date in Bangor this summer.

We count this one as what will be his 7th appearance here. Rod's first show was at the Cumberland County Civic Center in 1982.

The last time he played Maine was in Bangor at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion in 2017 and that's where he'll be when he returns this year. The show is scheduled for August 5th.

Opening the show will be Cheap Trick. Now we gotta believe with those legendary rockers warming up the crowd with a roar, maybe Rod will lean more toward his early days rather than the softer stuff. Every Picture Tells A Story, baby. That would make us Blimpsters happy for sure. We shall see.
