Margaritas recently announced they will be bringing back their beloved Taco Gigante. This bad boy packs a punch weighing in at 2 pounds and 12 inches long.

Now Taco Gigante isn't all fun and games, ok maybe fun and games is the whole point. If you can down this beast, you'll win free weekly tacos with purchase. Because you know what's better than tacos? FREE TACOS.

This taco challenge isn't for the faint of heart. Taco Gigante is a hard shell tortilla stuffed with 2 pounds of filling. It features a mixture of meats; beef, pork, and chicken, as well as refried beans, rice, queso, jalapenos, and more. You have to devour the taco in the restaurant in one sitting to be declared a champion.

So dig out those Joey Tribbiani Thanksgiving pants early this year and take the day off from work. You might need it to defeat Taco Gigante. I hear the Russelrita pairs nicely, but that could be my own bias showing.

Margaritas has several locations in Maine; Auburn, Augusta, Ellsworth, Orono, and Portland.

They haven't released the official start date of the challenge yet, but last year it ran through October.
