The Moose Festival is the social event of the season in Skowhegan, and they set an attendance record in 2018 when 6,000 people showed up for the three-day event. I’ve never been, but it sounds like a blast and I think I’ll take the family this year.

There was a sit-down breakfast in Constitution Hall, live music, moose calling contests for kids and grown ups, horse-drawn wagon rides, live music, archery, fly-fishing and hunting demos, seminars with experts and more.

According to the Main St. Skowhegan Facebook page, there will be a World Record Celebration tomorrow, (Friday, Feb. 15th),  from noon to 3 at the Main Street Skowhegan office. You can enjoy refreshments and get your picture taken with the official Guinness Record certificate.
