On this day in 1959 we lost Rock and Roll innovator Buddy Holly at the age of 22.  Holly was only popular for a year and half before a plane crash took his life, but he's been described as "the single most influential creative force in early rock and roll."  Here's a short clip of Buddy Holly on the Arthur Murray Dance Party on December 29, 1957.
