3/14/1983 (33 years ago today) -  "Maneater" is the biggie right around now: Daryl Hall & John Oates bring their "H20" tour to town and play for a full-house/capacity crowd at the ol' Cumberland County Civic Center. The opening act was Bryan Adams, who was on the road in support of his "Cuts Like A Knife" album (he also opened Journey and The Police this year as well!). More than a good night out we think...

3/14/1977 (39 years ago today) - There was quite a it of legal wrangling going on between record labels, but the girls got it done: Heart released their second album "Little Queen" which (somehow) got made and released and became a big hit despite the efforts of their previous record label to squash it. Same old story for many acts over the years; "Barracuda" is a monstrous instant radio classic.

3/14/1955 (61 years ago today) - On Jimmy Dean's live television show, Jimmy interviews an up-and-coming male vocalist from the Memphis area with the somewhat unusual name of Elvis Presley. One year from now, guess who takes over the world...
