11/12/1965 (50 years ago today) -The Velvet Underground make their live debut at Summit High School, New Jersey -- they get paid $75.

11/12/1966 (49 years ago today) - The Monkees debut album begins a 13-week reign at Number One -- over three months at the top, holy bananas! -- and sells over 3 million copies in the process. By 1966 standards, that is positively/totally over-the-top amaze-balls!!!

11/12/1945 - Happy Birthday Neil Young, 70 years old today. If we have to explain Mr. Young to any of you reading this, you have landed on the wrong web site.
