9/2/1964 (52 years ago today) - It's called "nailing it!": At Regent Sound Studios in London, The Rolling Stones record their version of bluesman Willie Dixon's haunting classic "Little Red Rooster". Nobody -- NOBODY!!! -- else in the British Invasion of '64 could have pulled this off but The Stones; The Beatles, The Who, The Kinks, etc..., well, they just never ever managed to sound like this:

9/2/1978 (38 years ago today) - George Harrison married his second wife, Olivia Trinidad Arias, in a private ceremony at the Henley-on-Thames Register Office in England; she was a secretary at A&M Records at the time...Gave birth to their only son Dhani in August 1988...Authored the "Concert For George: A Celebration Of The Life Of George Harrison" in 2006, and, with Martin Scorsese, co-produced the critically acclaimed "George Harrison: Living In The Material World" documentary in 2011...Fact: Paul and Ringo now refer to Olivia and Yoko as the remaining Beatles.

9/2/1989 (27 years ago today) - Same as it ever was...: Ozzy Osbourne is arrested and charged with threatening to kill his wife Sharon; gets released under the condition that he immediately go into detox. When the two love birds decide to reconcile, the case is dropped. Sigh...
