It's Day 14 of 20 Albums in 20 Days! Today's feature is widely regarded as the best rock album of all time, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles. It was released on June 1, 1967 and spent 15 weeks at number one in the U.S. This was the album that evolved rock music to the level of fine art. At the Grammy awards in 1968 it was named Album of the Year. It was the first rock record to do that.
