Just before the release of of their eighth studio album Never Say Die, Black Sabbath played one last show Ozzy Osbourne at the Civic Center. Van Halen was the opening act and had just scored a hit with their cover of the Kinks "You Really Got Me". They made a huge impact on ticket sales and the concert became a night of two headliners. An historic show for Blimpsters who witnessed the end of the Ozzy era with Sabbath and a ferocious new dawn with Eddie, Alex, Dave, and Michael.
