Tonight we mark two events in Pink Floyd history, one happy and one sad. The happy memory is the release of their ninth studio album, Wish You Were Here on this date in 1975. The sad memory, 6 years ago today we lost Pink Floyd keyboard and founding member Rick Wright. According to This Day in Music.com, David Gilmour said of his passing: "He was such a lovely, gentle genuine man and will be terribly missed by so many who loved him." His keyboard work was an essential part of the sound of Pink Floyd. Join us tonight in the Big Red Love Van at 5:20 for another WBLM Mini-Concert.
