Would a Topless Book Club Inspire You to Read More?

It's a sure sign of spring in New York. The Topless Book Club has resumed! A group of ladies has been doing this for a few years, and now that the weather is warmer the gals are back to chatting about some of their favorite books, such as; "Abraham Lincoln, Presidential [Eff] Machine". Yep. It is legal for women to be topless in New York City so they held their meeting in Central Park, right there in front of God and everybody. The ladies claim they are trying to inspire others to read. They also take on classic books like "Moby Dick". These are for real bibliophiles! Now, because I am a responsible reporter, I looked into it, and it IS legal for women to be topless here in Portland. If you are an avid reader, unafraid of sunburns and bug bites, or leering, swaying strangers, then meet me in Deering Oaks tomorrow at noon for a discussion about my latest literary conquest, "Vampire Most Wanted."
