Six Objects the Government Shouldn’t Shoot Out of the Sky in Maine

The headlines for the last week or so have been a wild ride. Chinese spy balloons and UFOs all shot out of the sky. Four times in the last nine days, according to ABC Chicago.

Are the aliens finally starting to invade earth? Or has real life just turned into the part of the video game Grand Theft Auto 5 where you break into a military base, steal a fighter jet, and rock some target practice?

Okay, maybe that last suggestion was a little over the top.

Chinese Spy Balloon

This all started back on February 4, when, according to the U.S. Department of Defense, a Chinese spy balloon was shot out of the sky by the Air Force just off the coast of South Carolina. Since then, three more unidentified objects have been shot down, the latest over Lake Huron over the weekend.

It actually got to the point that on Super Bowl Sunday, there were references made on social media about someone reminding the government to not shoot down the infamous Good Year Blimp during the game.

In fact, whether or not this is true, the Radio Polestar account on Instagram posted a picture of a business sign in an unknown location that states "BALLOON RIDES CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE."

All that said, with everyone on high alert and their eyes in the sky looking out for anything wonky, here's a reminder (or heads up) of five things the government should leave alone if spotted in the Maine sky.
