A Maine Judge Just Ordered These Two Pit Bulls Killed. Do You Agree?
On Tuesday, a Maine judge ruled that two pit bulls that attacked and killed another dog in Winslow must be euthanized within 30 days.
The two pit bulls orderd to be put down escaped from their yard in Winslow and attacked and killed a Boston terrier that was being walked by its owner.
According to WMTW, the terrier's owner testified in court that she feared the dogs would attack her after they killed her dog.
According to the kennebec Journal, in her closing argument, Assistant District Attorney Tracy DeVoll said, “It was pack mentality. (The two dogs) worked together, and there was nothing that stopped them, not even the owner. They’ve proven themselves to be dangerous; they’ve proven themselves to be deadly.”
Superior Court Justice Eric Walker agreed with the District Attorney, and ordered the animals to be killed within the next 30 days. Read more at CentralMaine.com here.
