The UMaine women's basketball team is headed to the America East Conference championship game after knocking off #1 seed New Hampshire 61-52 in the semi-final round at Cross Arena in Portland.

The Black Bears(17-15) will again play the championship game in Albany. The Great Danes(19-11) held off Hartford 67-65 in the other AE semi-final. It will mark the three straight year Maine and Albany will decide the league championship and the automatic bid to the NCAAs.

The title game is Friday at 4:30pm.

Sigi Koizar led Maine in the semi-final win with 21 points, including 13-for-18 from the foul line.

UMH had a one point lead after three quarters but the Bears went on a 12-2 spurt to start the fourth quarter and wound up outscoring the Wildcats 25-15 in that quarter.
