Okay, we have all been there. The pounding headache, the nauseous stomachache, the shakes and the crying (okay, crying can be private).

We have all had the hangover that will not seem to go away. Maybe that happens every Saturday...maybe that happens once a year.

For some of us, a cold shower will do. Others need a half gallon of water. For me, I need another drink (hair of the dog) and to shake the shakes as early as possible.

Usually that means I head out for breakfast, brunch, or even lunch, depending on when I finally roll out of bed.

Everyone who has been through a hangover knows the cycle: toss your cookies, eat a greasy meal, drink as much water as possible, maybe toss your cookies again, and then let that greasy and salty meal do its work.

Even when you feel gross, you need something to soak up the booze from the night before.

As we know, New Englanders can drink. From the breweries in Portland down to Portsmouth, and fine dining from Manchester down to Boston, New England has a variety of night life.

But what about the day after? With so many options to create the hangover, where is the best place to get rid of one?

Below, I list the best places on the Seacoast to rid you of that dreaded hangover.

Make a reservation in advance for the greasiest breakfast sandwiches, best Bloody Marys, and flappiest flap jacks. Anything to get rid of that head-pounding hangover.
