After a Weekend Battle, the Blimp Bowl 2022 Winner Was Revealed

Another year, another epic Blimp Bowl.

From newbie competitors like Metallica making it past the first few rounds to Tom Petty making a run for another championship, Blimp Bowl 2022 was a great battle of the bands that came down to a final confrontation that was close to the very end.

Van Halen and Lynyrd Skynyrd made it to the final two, and after a weekend of voting, a champion was crowned. Van Halen took the victory and is now the Blimp Bowl champion.

As for the final tally? It was definitely a nail-biter finish.

Van Halen eeked out the win with 51% of the vote.

While Lynyrd Skynyrd didn't pull it off this year, it's not their first appearance in the finals. If you remember, the American rock band went head to head with Tom Petty in Blimp Bowl 2018.

Who knows? Victory could be just around the corner for them. Maybe next year?
