Blimpville Legends of Rock Live: Vote for Queen, Soundgarden, Elton John
Fifty does seem like a wicked awesome number, right?
Well, WBLM keeps on celebrating its 50th anniversary, and we've got another week of Blimpville Legends of Rock Live. Let's do this.
Cast a vote for one of three legendary concerts that rocked Blimpville below.
This latest matchup is Queen at the Lewiston Armory in February 1975 versus Soundgarden at the Tree Cafe in Portland for Halloween 1989 versus Elton John at the Civic Center in October 1993.
Make sure to vote because the poll closes Saturday at 5 p.m. (We want to give you more time to vote!)
Then, on Saturday at 6 p.m., the legendary concert with the most votes will be declared the winner, and WBLM will play a full hour of live, in-concert music from that band.
Oh, and if that's not awesome enough, we're going commercial-free for it. Did you hear that? Commercial free!
Who do you think will win? Who do you want to hear?
Don't miss out on voting, and celebrate along with WBLM as we rock out for an epic year 50.
Many of you have been along for this wild and crazy ride. And if you've got stories, you can share them with us right here.
Did you know that the first song played on WBLM was "The Story in Your Eyes" by The Moody Blues?
Here's to another 50 with Maine's classic rock station, the Blimp, 102.9 WBLM. Rock on, Blimpsters. Rock on.
