Legendary Portland Pub Brian Boru Is Closing!

Say it isn't so!  Word early this morning that the legendary Irish pub, Brian Boru's is shutting its doors. From their Facebook page:

The Brian Boru Public House announced today it is permanently closing its doors effective 1AM EST on Monday, August 26th, 2019. Brian Boru will be open for regular hours during the weekend.

Founded in 1993, "The Pub," as it is affectionately known by it's regulars has been a landmark in Portland's Old Port for more than a quarter-century. Current owner, Daniel Steele, expresses his deep appreciation towards its loyal patrons, vendors, and the City of Portland, for their decades of support
