You may have noticed that the "Can you hear me?" guy has shown up again doing commercials for that phone company's competitor. Now scammers are using the familiarity of that line to get your permission to use your stolen credit card! If you answer the phone and the person on the other end says, "Can you hear me?", you might automatically say, "Yes". They record you saying yes to play back when they use your stolen credit card to buy something and the credit card company calls to confirm the purchase. If you think it's a real call from someone you know that is calling with a sketchy connection and they ask if you can hear them, say, "I can hear you." But don't say yes!
