Check Out This Incredible Drone Video of Hallowell Quarries

As summer winds down, let's go back in time and revisit some memories of childhood in around here. If you grew up in Central Maine, chances are you'll remember exploring the magical historic quarries in Hallowell.

It's a pretty sure bet that Augusta area kids like myself have been there either with family for a swim before it was banned or as a teenager probably doing something we shouldn't have, but having fun anyway.

We just came across this amazing aerial video published on YouTube over the weekend from Maine Films. It takes us on a tour of this beautiful spot where granite was mined for centuries.

According to an article last May in the Kennebec Journal, the quarries are for sale with "an asking price of $5.5 million."
