It sure is 'ice' to see the highly-anticipated Ice Castles make their annual return to Lincoln, New Hampshire (see what we did there?).

Time has flown, and believe it or not, we're already approaching the final month of 2022. With winter at our doorstep, seasonal places and events are preparing for what will surely be a busy season, and this includes the popular Ice Castles.

Starting today, November 28, "peak season tickets" are officially on sale for the Ice Castles' 2023 season, according to this Facebook post.

So, what are peak season tickets?

The post explains that these are "the dates that we anticipate being open based on historical data in each location." It turns out that the Castles could be open to the public sooner or stay around longer, depending on weather conditions. For now, you can purchase tickets to visit the Ice Castles any time between Thursday, January 19, and Saturday, February 25.

This writer went to the Ice Castles with a friend for the first time last year, and had such a great time. It truly is worth the trip. Oh, and did we mention there's a slide made entirely of ice?

If the 2023 season is anything like last year's, visitors will also be able to enjoy tubing, a magical woods walk filled with light displays and fairy houses, a horse-drawn carriage ride (for an additional fee), and of course, pastries and warm refreshments.
